HOW TO REACH THE HUNGARIAN CHORAL CASTLE?
The Castle is located in the City of Pomáz, 20 km to the North from the centre Budapest.
How to go Pomáz?
• By plane:
You land at the Liszt Ferenc Airport of Budapest (BUD). Take the airport shuttle to reach directly the Hungarian Choral Castle in Pomáz OR take public transport which is quite complicated (from the airport by bus number 200E which is a direct service to Kőbánya-Kispest Metro terminal - from here by the „blue" (3) Metro you can reach Deák Ferenc Square in the City in 20 minutes - here you have to take the „red" (2) Metro and travel to Batthyány Square (cca. 10 minutes) - at Batthyány Square you have to take the suburb train „HÉV" and travel to Pomáz (cca. 30 minutes, be aware that not all trains go till Pomáz!) – the Castle is 10-15 minutes walk from the suburb train station as per the map).
• By train:
When arriving to Budapest, you'll get off the train EITHER at the Western ("Nyugati") OR the Eastern ("Keleti") OR the Southern ("Déli") Railway Station.
o from the Western Railway Station you have to take tram number 4 or 6 to the direction of "Széll Kálmán tér" terminal and get off at Margit Bridge Buda Bridgehead ("Margit-híd budai hídfő", 3 stations, cca. 5 minutes). There you have to change to the Suburb Train „HÉV" and travel to Pomáz (cca. 30 minutes, see details above at "by plane").
o from the Eastern Railway Station you have to take the „red" (2) Metro to the direction of "Déli Pályaudvar" terminal and get off at Batthyány Square (5 stations, cca. 10-12 minutes). There you have to change to the Suburb Train „HÉV" and travel to Pomáz (cca. 30 minutes, see details above at "by plane").
o from the Southern Railway Station you have to take the „red" (2) Metro to the direction of "Őrs vezér tere" terminal and get off at Batthyány Square (2 stations, cca. 5 minutes). There you have to change to the Suburb Train „HÉV" and travel to Pomáz (cca. 30 minutes, see details above at "by plane").
